Dobet Gnahoré is acclaimed singer and dancer from Côte D’Ivoire, now based in France.

“There’s No End” is the first posthumous release from the late Tony Allen, afrobeat drummer extraordinaire.

Muita Kaballa Power Ensemble are an eight-piece afro-jazz-funk band from Cologne.

Nwando Ezibie is an experimental multi-disciplinary artist with an afro-futurist vision.


The last sessions by Jamaican DJ star U-Roy, with lots of guests, will be on a posthumous album coming soon.

French duo Brain Damage provide settings and rhythms for veteran Jamaican toaster Big Youth.

Ghetto Priest of Asian Dub Foundation sings some classics on his “Big People Music” album - now remixing.

Lucas Santtana’s 2006 Greenhouse sessions, now remastered, bring heavy dub accents to the fore.

Sons of Kemet are a British jazz band, led by Shabaka Hutchings with Afro-Caribbean and funk influences.


Monsieur Doumani are the progressive literary folk trio from Cyprus.

MNTH are drummer-composer M.Takara with engineering and production from São Paulo.

Yunis brings us on an exploratory tour of Sufi moulids and Egyptian folk weddings.

Documentary-maker Michel Gasco made field recordings throughout Syria prior to the war.


Radio Tutti and the Barillas connect their Galician sound to other Southern European styles.

Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino are standard-bearers for Puglia pizzica - currently No.1 in the TWMC Chart (see below).

Duarte is Portuguese folk and fado singer, singing songs of women and the glance of a man.

The Misra brothers have carved out a career in North Indian singing for some 40 years - now Rajan has left the stage - R.I.P.
