Metá Metá are a trio at the cutting edge of Brazilian candomblé jazz-punk - in the Sugar Club this Sunday!

Angelique Kidjo, the US-based West African singer, reimagines the seminal Talking Heads’ album “Remain In Light”.

Arat Kilo are a French Ethio-grooves band in collaboration with Malian chanteuse Mamani Keïta and rapper Mike Ladd.


Ammar 808 is the project of Tunisian musician/producer Sofyann Ben Youssef, previously of Bargou 08.

Nadah El Shazly is a contemporary Egyptian musician.

Shadi Fathi and Bijan Chemirani play Iranian folk music on setar and zarb.

Nickodemus is a New York DJ, producer, and collaborator with World musicians.

Veteran Jamaican vocalist Winston MacAnuff joins forces once again with French accordionist/producer Fixi.

Ziggy Marley is the famous son of the very famous father.


“African Scream Contest” is a second compilation of Afro-Funk from Benin.

Ayuune Sule is a kologo musician from Ghana.

Fatoumata Diawara, Malian singer and participant in Africa Express and Lamomali, has a second album out.

Samba Touré is a Malian guitarist and singer in the Ali Farka Touré tradition of desert blues.


There is a new collection of World Music by the Rough Guide team, including London’s She’Koyokh and Hungary’s Söndörgö.

Don Kipper reflect the diversity of North London with influences from the Mediterranean, Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Yonatan Gat is a New York guitarist with garage-punk and avant-garde influences.

Mercedes Peón is bagpiper, singer and composer inna fierce Galician style.

Elena Ledda is an Italian singer, trained in opera, who has become the folk voice of Sardinia.
