Rokia Koné is a Malian vocalist who was part of Les Amazones d’Afrique, now with Irish producer Jacknife Lee.

Sowal Diabi is a collective of musicians from Mali to Iran, highlighting the refugee experience.

Etran de L’Air are a rocking guitar outfit from Agadez in Niger.

Imarhan are a Tuareg group from Tamanrasset in Algeria with a third album on release.


La Sra. Tomasa are a Latin band from Barcelona.

Bonga is a veteran Angolan semba singer - 50 years in the business!

Analog Africa is soon to release “Saturno 2000”, a collection of slowed-down cumbia or “rebajada” from Mexico.

Raf Vilar is a Brazilian singer-songwriter based in London.

Bandua are a duo of Tempura and Edgar Valente with roots in central Portugal.


DakhaBrakha are a Ukrainian tour-de-force - a live sensation at Womad in 2014 and 2019.


Park Jiha is Korean solo artist playing the piri, the saenghwang, the yanggeum and the glockenspiel.

Benedicte Maurseth plays the hardanger fiddle in an ambient zone of percussion, electronics and natural sounds.

Iranian vocalist Sussan Deyhim’s album with Richard Horowitz from 1987 gets a Crammed re-release.

Another Iranian, Mamak Khadem, has a new album inspired by the loss of her father and her work with refugees.
