Turkish singer Tülay German left her native Turkey for France, recording two albums in the early ’80s, now reissued.

Coskun Karademir on baglama and other Turkish strings joins forces with Nordic pianist Tord Gustavsen.

dal:um are a female duo on Korean gayageum and geomungo.

Quyech are a Vietnamese band from Hanoi with a contemporary pop sound.


Yat-Kha is Albert Kuvezin on guitar and deep bass voice with igil fiddle accompaniment.

John Townley is a veteran maritime folk-blues musician from New York.

Russell Potter, solo guitarist, released two albums in the early ’80s, now re-released by Tompkins Square.

Joseph Spence was an influential Bahamian singer-guitarist with an idiosyncratic style.
