Baloji is a Belgian-Congolese rapper and lyricist.

Dr Professor Atamina and Ayuune Sule are two Ghanaian practitioners of kologo music, both associated with King Ayisoba.

Invisible System is the calling card of Dan Harper, Ethiopian, and now Malian, musical explorer.


Ostinato Records have turned their curatorial skills to Sudan and the tambour music of Abu Obaida Hassan.

The Anthology of Aïta music from rural Morocco covers different geographical strains of the tradition across 10 CDs.

Mircan Kaya is a Turkish vocalist, singing in the disappearing language of Mingrelian/Laz.

Rapper Osloob is a Palestinian exile and flautist, Naïssam Jalal, is French-Syrian.


El Naán are from Northern Spain, combining traditional Castilian music with Arabic and US roots styles.

Gitkin plays a catchy Americana guitar sound with influences from further south and across the Atlantic too.

Sonido Gallo Negro are Mexicans with a psychedelic cumbia mission.

Chancha via Circuito is an Argentinian electronic artist and producer.


Dom Flemons aims to to highlight the Afro-American influence in US culture including the Wild West cowboy history.

Adam Strug is a Polish singer, musician and ethnomusicologist.

Yiddish Glory is the extraordinary story of the miraculous survival of Jewish music from the horrors of World War II.

The Rheingans Sisters, Anna and Rowan, are an award-winning folk duo from Sheffield.

Orcastratum is a four-piece group led by pianist Glen Scott with guests including Solo Cissokho and Eric Bibb.
