Kunbe are a decade-long collaboration between Malian musicians and two French brothers.
Hami Hamoo is a trio from France, Iran and Burkina Faso.
Sahad is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Senegal.
David Walters is a French multi-instrumentalist with roots in Martinique and St Kitts.
Hamouna Isewlan is a Toureg bandleader from northern Mali, now in exile in Algeria.
Mariama Kouyaté, vocalist, and Vieux Cissokho, kora and vocals, are from Senegal.

Le Vent du Nord are Quebec’s finest with a new album “Voisinages” or “Neighbourhoods”.
“A Tribute ToThe King of Zydeco” is a gathering of well-known musicians paying tribute to Clifton Chenier on the 100th anniversary of his birth; there is a four-disc collection of his original work on the way via Smithsonian Folkways.
The Grateful Dead have lost another original member - guitarist and singer Bob Weir R.I.P.
Voginha is a Cape Verdean guitarist who has played with both Bau and Cesaria Evora.

L’Antidote are a trio of Bijan Chemirani (Iran) and Rami Khalifé (Lebanon), with Redi Hasa on cello.
Fabiano do Nascimento is a Brazilian guitarist backed by a 16-piece ensemble.
Elias Bachoura is an oud-player in the Syrian-Damascus tradition, now based in Belgium.
Aonghus McEvoy is an Irish guitarist, to be found on the new Tompkins Square collection.
