On this week's programme:

Eblis Alvarez aka Meridian Brothers joins forces with fellow Bogota resident, accordionist Iván Medellin.

A new Analog Africa collection focuses on 1970s Cameroonian garage scene.

Orchestra Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp are a free-thinking Swiss 12-strong band on their fifth album.

Les Filles de Illighadad, from the small Nigerien town of the same name, are captured live in Brooklyn.

Tarwa N-Tiniri are a young Moroccan six-piece, walking in Tinariwen’s footsteps.

Nick Page, aka Count Dubulah, musician and producer, died in May. He was a significant figure in global fusion bands and projects, beginning in the trail-blazing Transglobal Underground, and moving on to Temple of Sound, Dub Colossus, Syriana and Xaos. He was associated initially with the Anglo-Asian label Nation Records, and later with Peter Gabriel’s Real World. We take a quick tour through his cross-cultural musical journey.

Sarah-Jane Summers, Scottish Highland fiddler, partners Finnish musician, Juhani Silvola, in Norway.

Cormac Breatnach takes his Irish trad roots and weaves them into a poignant story of a cruel miscarriage of justice.

Bob Holroyd, prominent UK global ambient artist, releases two tracks on the new Real World X label.

Alice Coltrane’s recordings were solo performances recorded for her spiritual community in the early ’80s.
