Journalist and radio presenter Gianluca Tramontana made extensive recordings of changüí musicians in Eastern Cuba.


Altin Gün are a Dutch-Turkish band with a new bandcamp release raising money for environmental charities.

Derya Yildirim and her group bring a contemporary and psychedelic approach to Anatolian folk.

Turkish singer Tülay German left her native Turkey for France, recording two albums in the early ’80s, now reissued.

Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp are Swiss, uncategorisable, and very engaging.

Quyech have a sophisticated pop style from Hanoi in Vietnam.


John Francis Flynn is making contemporary moves in Irish tradition.

Long established Swedish folk quartet, Väsen, have reduced to a duo for this new record.

Multumult are a Bucharest-based quartet of folk and electronica.
