On this week's programme:


Starting with some Latin - inna hiphop vein - from Barcelona’s Lágrimas De Sangre, and Argentinian La Yegros who is appearing at La Linea Festival in London.

The reggae session includes Jahcoustix, aka Dominik Haas, on his eighth album, and singles from Cali P & Teka, Koffee, and Alborosie.

Antibalas celebrate 20 years of Afrobeat operations and take over the Sugar Club for 2 nights at Easter.


Altin Gün are a Dutch band who play Turkish psychedelia!

Olcay Bayir is a classically trained singer from Anatolia, and Coskun Karademir, folklore academic, archivist, and musical director, is from the same region.

The Minyo Crusaders are a Japanese band doing an irresistible line in cumbia and reggae.

Sociedade Recreativa are the combination of Brazilian DJ producer Maga Bo and north-eastern trio Forró de Rebeca.

Ziminino are Rio de Janeiro artist Ricô Santana with producers Rafa Dias and Boima Tucker.


The veteran Jamaican Inna de Yard collective remake some classic reggae hits of yesteryear.

Waed Bouhassoun is a Syrian oud-player and singer.

The Kronos Quartet provide stirring context for the Iranian songs of the Vahdat sisters.

Las Hermanas Caronni are sisters from Argentina, resident in France, with Piers Faccini guesting.

Don the Tiger, aka Adrián de Alfonso, is an experimental artist from Barcelona via Berlin.

Kolida Babo is a trio involving two Greek duduk players who add sax and synths to the mix.

Labelle is an electronic musician from La Réunion.
