Etran de L’Air are a family guitar outfit and wedding band from Agadez in Niger.

Sidi Abdallah is a young guitarist, also from Agadez, and son of a Tuareg musical innovator.

Imarhan are a Tuareg group from Tamanrasset in Algeria with a third album on release.

Rokia Koné is a Malian vocalist who was part of Les Amazones d’Afrique, now with Irish producer Jacknife Lee.


Bonga is a veteran Angolan semba singer - 50 years in the business!

Los Cumbia Stars are a Colombian group recreating the classic cumbia style.

Analog Africa is soon to release “Saturno 2000”, a collection of slowed-down cumbia or “rebajada” from Mexico.

Sowal Diabi is a collective of musicians from Mali, Iran and France, highlighting the refugee experience.


Satellites are a band from Jaffa and Tel Aviv, in thrall to the Turkish sounds of the 1970s.

Reggae veteran, Clinton Fearon, joins forces with Boston’s Naya Rockers.

Sub Pressure Band are a Berlin-based reggae band.

Zion I Kings are a California roots outfit who feature Losso Keita’s ngoni on the new single.

The Adrian Sherwood remix of 3Head’s track is a re-release from 2009.

French producer Manudigital has made a reggae-chanson album with crooner Bazbaz.


Chancha via Circuito, Argentinian electronic artist, issued an EP with singer Luvi Torres.

Iranian vocalist Sussan Deyhim’s album with Richard Horowitz from 1987 gets a Crammed re-release.

Buddhist Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo has a new release with backing from Spanish musicians.

Benedicte Maurseth plays the hardanger fiddle in an ambient zone of percussion, electronics and natural sounds.

Californians Jeremiah Chiu and Marta Sofia Honer recorded in the environment of the Finnish Åland islands.
