This is an Ear to The Globe Eco-Special focussing on the environment. Some of the artists are from parts of the world which are at the frontier of climate breakdown where lifestyles are severely disrupted ie. Mongolian herdsmen, Sami people from the Arctic regions, nomadic desert dwellers, and inhabitants of the rainforest, of the Himalayan regions, and of the Pacific islands. Some interact musically with natural sounds; others have a shamanic connection to the earth, or are deeply inspired by the environment.
There was some confusion about the date of this programme. It was originally scheduled to go out on air on October 22nd but there was a malfunction in the radio station’s upload system which resulted in the previous show (15-10-24) being repeated twice on the 22nd and the 29th. It was finally aired on November 5th.
Here is the playlist for "Ear to the globe" broadcast on Tuesday November 5th. The programme goes out every Tuesday at 10pm to midnight on 103.2FM and is available live at www.dublincityfm.ieand thereafter on Mixcloud
